What you need to know about data engineers salary survey

The annual data engineering salary survey by consulting firm W12 and the US Bureau of Labor Statistics released Thursday showed that the median salary for data engineers was $92,764, an increase of 9.7 percent over last year.

W12 said the survey shows the data industry continues to grow in importance, with the industry representing 23 percent of the US workforce and making up 10.6 percent of all jobs in the United States.

Data engineers are also among the most highly compensated occupations in the country, with salaries averaging $103,000 annually, a 5.6 percentage point increase from last year, according to W12.

W10 said the data engineering industry continues a growth trajectory that has been fueled by software and data analytics.

“In the last 10 years, we have seen exponential growth in the data analytics industry,” said Mark Reiss, chief executive officer at W10.

“Data engineering has emerged as a strong driver of this growth.”

The W12 survey also showed that data engineers earned more than data analysts and software developers.

Data analyst salaries have more than doubled since 2000, with data engineer salaries growing 9.9 percent over that time.

Data engineers also earned more money than their counterparts in other fields.

Software developers, who typically make less than data engineers, earned more last year than in 2015.

The data engineering salaries survey, conducted annually by W12, was based on responses from 1,068 respondents, including data engineers in industries such as finance, law, healthcare, education, government, and retail.

The survey has been a source of contention for some in the industry, with some data engineers questioning its accuracy.

The W8 and W9 survey, released in 2018 and 2019 respectively, were both released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

The two surveys are widely used as benchmarks for determining the average salary of data engineers and software engineers.

Data engineering is an industry where salaries vary significantly by job type.

The median salary of software engineers is $106,000, a 2.6-percentage-point increase from 2016, while the median of data engineer salary is $91,000.

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (Bts) surveyed 1,846 workers in 2021 and found that data and analytics professionals earn an average salary between $104,000 and $114,000 per year, with software developers earning the most.

The Bts surveyed employees in finance and insurance industries in 2021, and found data engineers with a median salary between about $101,000 to $105,000 earned an average of about $103 and software engineer salaries averaged $90,000 or more.
